About Phil
Phil Thrasher focuses his practice in three areas. In the commercial real estate industry he represents many developers, contractors, owners, mortgage lenders, and loan and real estate brokers. He has handled virtually all types of transactions in commercial real estate and continues to develop additional areas of concentration, including tax credits and property tax appeals. His second practice area involves representing many small businesses and individuals in forming and managing their businesses and estates for growth and protection, including management of the Outside General Counsel section of the firm. His third practice area involves representing nonprofits and charities in their formation, management, maintenance of their tax exempt status, asset protection, and real property tax exemption appeals.

Philip Thrasher
Phil has served and continues to serve on a wide variety of boards of directors, including for profit and nonprofit corporations and associations. To assist such boards, Phil brings decades of experience in the Indianapolis business field, including banking, lending, real estate development, and real estate management prior to commencing his law career.

Phil was the initial Chairman of the Business and Real Estate Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association, has spoken at numerous bar association seminars, served for ten years on the board of directors of the Indianapolis Landlords Association, and was the Chairman and served for several years on the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors. He is currently active in the Indiana Real Estate Exchangors, the Murat Temple Association, Inc. (chairman 1992), the Indiana Masonic Home Board of Directors, and other nonprofit organizations.

Phil is the founder of Thrasher Buschmann and Voelkel, P.C., which started as Thrasher & Associates in 1989.
